HAGLEY PRIMARY SCHOOL
It has been another really busy term at Hagley Primary School. We have welcomed new members of staff, who have settled into their new roles well and are already having a great impact.
The arts have been well represented this term, with numerous children taking instrumental exams, as well as having the opportunity to attend Haybridge High School, whereby they undertook an exciting BBC Ten Pieces coaching afternoon. 160 children from Years 4 & 6 had a wonderful experience, performing in the Young Voices Concert at the Genting Arena. Year 2 went to Haybridge to perform in a dance festival and Year 3 put on a wonderful Easter performance.
It has also been a wonderful term for sport. Our football team were crowned champions of Worcester, and came 2nd in West Midlands, so are now aiming for the National finals! The cricket team enjoyed successes, coming 1st and 2nd in competition and representing the Wyre Forest at County Finals. Our Cross Country Team also represented the District at the County School Games.
Red Nose Day was very successful, with the children dressing up in some wonderful red outfits and managed to raise lots of money for the cause.
The teachers have been running some wonderful clubs in school, which the children have been enjoying very much. These have included: Mandarin singing; Design and Technology; Science club; Golf; Tennis and Netball Skills.
The PTA are busy preparing for the Summer Fayre on Saturday 1 July and we look forward to seeing you there.
