Hagley Primary School

Hagley Primary School has welcomed several members of staff, who have settled into

their new roles well and are already having a great impact. The entrance area has recently

undergone major transformation, combined with a new car park barrier, improving site safety.

Every year group and their parents have been welcomed into school curriculum meetings to

learn the focus of the years’ learning, as well as finding out about new techniques, such as

using the new Times Tables Rock Stars website!

Year 6 have all undergone Bikeability training with great success, as well as studying Macbeth and having a

wonderful drama workshop. Year 3 have enjoyed their history project and had a great time doing a Stone Age

Workshop. Year 4 have been to Bishop’s Wood, where they were lucky enough to see a greater crested newt

and a hibernating queen hornet! The whole school enjoyed Roald Dahl day, with some marvellous costumes

being worn. The children in the choir and those in years 4 and 6 are busy preparing for the Young Voices

Concert at the NEC in January. The songs sound fantastic already! KS1 are busy rehearsing and preparing

for their Christmas Nativity performances.

The PTA are well underway with their arrangements for the Christmas period and the Christmas Fayre, which

is to be held on the 10th December, between 11am and 2.30pm. We are very grateful to all those involved in

making this a success, and for all parents and carers for their ongoing support. All are welcome to drop in to

the Christmas Fayre on the 10th to enjoy a cup of coffee and a mince pie
