Gardeners Club

In August the members enjoyed an evening visit to Marlbrook Gardens, Bromsgrove. Two unique and stunning

gardens, both in the National Garden Scheme, but very different styles, and full of plants and shrubs, patios,

sculptures and artwork. The sunny evening was rounded off with tea and homemade cakes.

25 October We welcome a return visit by Adrian James, always a popular speaker, to talk of Three West

Country Gardens; Marwood Hill Gardens in Devon, Mapperton Gardens in Dorset and Yeo Valley Organic

Garden in Somerset.

22 November Started in 1993, on a kitchen table, Hayloft Nurseries has grown to be a main player in the

Mail Order Business. Lark Hanham explains their story of good business, quality and customer care. A local

success story. The talk is entitled ‘Highgrove Hardy Plants and Hayloft Nursery’.

No meeting in December, so this is the last chance to obtain your tickets for the Annual Social on 24 January. Start the New Year with an evening of food, wine and entertainment. Tickets also available from Judy Iliff

Remember the garden and hedgerows offer many opportunities for Christmas decorations. Besides Holly, Ivy

and Mistletoe, dried plant material can be sprayed white or silver and reflective sparkle and ornaments added.
