Welcome to Hagley Library!

Thursday morning is story morning at Hagley Library! Meet all your favourite characters in your favourite storybooks from 10.30 – 11am every Thursday. It's perfect for keeping little ones busy and perhaps you can find time to pick up a book or two yourself.

Would your older children like to vote for their favourite book in the Worcestershire's Teen Book Award? Have a look at our Facebook page for the shortlist and vote on the website worcestershire_teen_book_award_wtba before 16 March. Come into the library to borrow any of the shortlisted titles to help you make your decision - we would love to know what you think!

We are pleased to let you know that we are offering a new free eBook and eAudiobook service Borrowbox is available now and is easy to use on your computer or hand held device. We've got some great titles on there to borrow for free including information and biography titles and lots for children like Roald Dahl and Elmer! Get help online from capitadiscovery or borrowbox.com or ask for help in the library. You need to be a member of the library to use Borrowbox and if you are able to bring your phone, tablet, or laptop with you we can demonstrate how it all works.

We are lucky to have a number of committed volunteers who work alongside staff to make the library a friendly community hub for information and books. We have books for all ages and interests and e-books are available to download from our website www.worcestershire.lib.overdrive.com.

We also have books to listen to and dvds to borrow, and you can even enjoy a hot drink while you look! If you're looking to develop your IT skills we have computers for you to use and we will be able to support you.

We would like to wish all of our customers a warm and happy festive season and remind everyone that if you are a member of Worcestershire's libraries even when the libraries are closed you can still get access to eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines and your account 24/7 on your laptop, tablet or other mobile device, and it's free!

Hagley Library re-opens 9am on Wednesday 4 January. We look forward to welcoming you in Hagley Library in the New Year.
