Current news from Hagley & Stourbridge Beekeepers' Association
2022 has been one of the best years in the last thirty for honey. During the extreme heat they struggled to keep cool, especially if water wasn't readily available to fetch home and evaporate.
2022 also saw one of the worst years for wasps, there were very, very few indeed. This is serious; wasps are nature's dustbin men and a vital link in our food chain.
We start feeding the bees at the end of September and the Dormant season (Flowering, Fruiting, Dormant are the three seasons) is almost here.
