Current news from University of the Third Age

Following our AGM members signed up to take part in Group activities on a variety of interests. Anyone who was not able to attend and still wishes to sign up to Groups can do so at our next general meeting by contacting Group Leader Nick Williams who will be happy to help. (0121 550 9853 or email: nw4frits@ gmail.com). Anyone wishing to set up a new group covering an activity not included in our programme would be welcomed.
On 1 June we will welcome back Vince Williams talking about “Mountain Rescue in the UK” and our Summer Party will be held on Wednesday 6 July at St. Saviours Church Hall. Other social events planned include a visit to Morton Hall Gardens, near Redditch for a guided tour and afternoon tea on Thursday 23 June at 2 pm. Tickets £15 each, limited to 30.
Another Barn Dance will be held in September, Crazy Whilst in October and our annual Christmas Party in December. Monthly meeting are held in St. Saviours Church Hall, Hagley – doors will be open from 1.30 with the meeting commencing at 1.45 pm. Refreshments will be served and new members are welcome. If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask, please do so.

U3A (University of the Third Age) is a National Organisation with local groups of retired or semi-retired people who meet to continue educational, social and creative interests in a friendly and informal environment.
Hagley U3A meets in the afternoon of the 1st Wednesday of the month (except August) at St Saviour’s church hall. Doors open about 1.15 and the meeting starts at 1.45.
We usually have a speaker for an hour and then time for tea and a chat.
